VIMA
The Vima project is another big initiative of the Sustainable Development Climate Institute, in partnership with OGC, Olympic Golf Course.
The launching of this pioneer program was held on august 15th, 2021, with huge success at the Olympic Golf Course. The encounter was done over breakfast, and with a presentation of VIMA and its partners, by our President, Carlos Favoreto.
VIMA is represented by our characters Eco and Logic. These are our communication agents, and they highlight all of our events and sustainable campaigns.
The project consists in, every month, two employees representing the “eyes of the OGC”, responsible for all the care of the course, and the goal is to present nature and aware the local population, tourists, and visitors about the preservation of the environment.
The members of the VIMA Program have the right to a snack kit and a fund for general expanses.
Amongst the many activities portrayed, the VIMA Project teams will, communicate every irregular event within OGC, perform daily patrols fulfilling rigorously the stipulated course, identifying and taking notes of the necessary measures to solve the problems, protecting the mobile and immobile existing property within the establishment, collecting golf balls within OGC, verifying the signs of the course, observing if they are ok, verifying if there is trash in irregular places, providing the cleaning if necessary, verifying and registering the presence of wild animals at OGC, doing the maintenance of the native vegetation, and organizing the orchard seedbed.
At the end of the work day, the member of the Program, will fill a form pre-established by the organization, with all of the activities done.
The VIMA team gets trained by a qualified team, who works with the ecosystem, on the OGC structures, and all of the functions executed by the team.
The VIMA members are characterized by the sense of esthetics in the use and presentation of the uniform, given by the Program. The members receive, in addition to the uniform, all of the necessary equipment for the development of their work in the field, like, binoculars, camera, radio, notepad, gloves, etc.
The VIMA partners are, the Olympic Golf Course, ECP, BMG, VGuedes, O Fluminense News, Aplicanet. The VIMA activities happen internally at OGC from 8AM to 2PM.
Golf That I Want Golf In Schools
It has as its main goal the social inclusion, bringing children in public city and state schools, to know the Olympic Golf Course and to be very close to sustainability.
Climate Stamp
It has as its main goal to certify businesses or institutions that are engaged and acceded in social environmental causes within their organizations and infrastructures, permitting the development of corporate sustainability.
Sandbank +
Conservation and preservation of biodiversity of the sandbank ecosystem, has as its goal the conservation and preservation of the sandbank ecosystem with the implementation of the Olympic Golf Course, OGC, handling the fauna and flora associated with the environmental education activities with the community and the visitors.
Sustainable Golf
It has as its goal the orientation and implementation the eco efficient measures in the infrastructure of the Olympic Golf Course, OGC, aligning the sport with the environmental preservation and conservation.
